Mock Draft Consensus Update

Nice update to the Mock Draft Database today.

Mock Database Stats:

Mocks Listed: 169
Partner Mocks: 108

The consensus picks for the Washington Redskins at number 6 changed a little but not much from the last update. Mocks are getting pretty consistent with either a Defensive End or Defensive Tackle selection for Washington. One or two mocks actually have the Redskins trading down, none have a trade up.

A few brave mocks out there have the 'Skins taking Safety Laron Landry. I would love, absolutely love to have Landry back there with Sean Taylor, but the chances of that happening are pretty damn slim. Another mock has the Skins taking LB Patrick Willis. That's not going to happen. I think that mock may be reading more into the Briggs trade situation than need be.

If anything that is surprising, I think the lack of creativity of developing a trade scenario where Washington trades down from number 6 is apparent. Kind of odd considering most 'sources' connected with the Redskins and most major media have reported the desire of the 'Skins to move down. Heck, Vinny Cerrato himself said it. I guess many Mocks don't wanna do the work to figure on potential trades. So kudos to our friends at East Coast Sports for putting in a potential trade down sceario.

Well, the top consensus stayed at the top, pretty remarkably consistent, changing maybe half a percentage. Clemson's DE Gaines Adams garners about 39% of all Mocks for the Redskins selection.

The change came at the second highest consensus pick as Arkansas DE Jamaal Anderson moved into second being chosen by 23% of mocks. Michigan DT Alan Branch continues falling. He once led all consensus picks and now is third at 19%. Coming in fourth and gaining significantly for the third straight week is Louisville DT Amobi Okoye. Okoye garnered 8% last week and now 14% of mocks have the Skins selecting him.
