Mock Database Stats: 191 Total Mocks, 121 Preferred Mocks
With all the updates, alot of mocks have changed who the Redskins will select, a few have decided to predict a Redskins trade down, and one, Great Blue North, is once again predicting the Lance Briggs trade with Chicago to go through, gutsy call by GBN, one of hR's favorite draft sites and longest link partners. Visit their site and mock.
Out of all the Mocks, the top consensus choice is for the Redskins to stay at #6 and select Louisville's DT Amobi Okoye.

Okoye is picked for the Redskins by 25% of the Mocks. This is one of the first years I can remember where the consensus choice is divided evenly among four different players, but Okoye has taken the top slot for the first time. The Redskins absolutely love Okoye, had had numerous workouts and dinners with Amobi and would be pretty pleased ending up with Okoye next to current DT Cornelius Griffin.
S Laron Landry continue to jump in predictions, once garner barely 4% now up to 12%. Redskins have not been shy in calling Landry the best defensive player in the draft. The question will become, will the Redskins pull the trigger on the best player available, which could be Landry at #6, or do they draft for most pressing need, defensive line, which could be Okoye, Gaines Adams, Jamaal Anderson or Alan Branch. Don't put too much stock in the Snyder/Gibbs press conference, it is not like the front office would divulge plans nor can you trust much of what is said.
Fact is, this is all based on the Redskins staying put, where I bet, the bulk of Redskins faithful fans are hoping for Brady Quinn or Adrian Peterson to fall to #6, making that # 6 pick more valuable and attractive for trade down purposes. BUT, we also agree with GBN, don't write off a Briggs deal with Chicago just yet. Things have a way of reviving themselves on Draft day.
Talk about it in the hR Draft Forum.
